Blacksoil Organic Black Rice Non-Gmo/Kosher/Gluten-Free

Blacksoil Black Rice is a variety of Oryza sativa rice grown only in the black soils of Northeast China, one of three such phaeozems in the world. The other two are in the US and South America. Black soils are naturally high in organic matter which produce healthier and supreme quality crops. We work closely with the growers, who have been living on the land for generations, to produce Blacksoil Black Rice in compliance with USDA organic standards. Blacksoil Black Rice is harvested one time each year. Production is limited to the black soil region of Northeast China and, therefore, is small.
